TAKING YOUR KID TO SCHOOL

At Olidia Care, we work with schools and school systems to meet their needs and set up a nursing program, manage a program, or simply provide nursing to a single school or even work with a single child.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation Services Provided:

  • Accompanying the child on the bus or van to and from school
  • Accompanying the child on class trips

Olidia Care pediatric Nurses and Home Health Aides can provide one-on-one care to your child at school. We can help your child with their medical and personal care needs at school while keeping them safe and comfortable as they focus on their educational goals.

  • Providing one-on-support during class trips
  • Providing one-on-one complex nursing throughout the school day

Respiratory Care Services Provided:

  • Tracheostomy and ventilator care

School Activities Provided:

  • Assisting a child with classroom activities and tasks
  • Working with the school team to support the child’s IEP
  • Substituting for the school nurse

Medication management Services Provided:

  • Medications and treatment administration

Personal Care Assistance Services provided:

  • Assisting with personal care tasks including toileting and feeding

TAPES AND GAUZE

Medical Adhesive Tape

When choosing a medical tape, there are a few things to consider to help you make an informed choice so that you can get the right outcome for your needs. Do you have any allergies to medical tape or adhesives? How are you using the tape? Do you have sensitive skin?

Bandages and Wound Care Bandages

Bandages are a piece of material to support a medical apparatus, such as wound dressings, or on its own to administer support to the body. Bandages, additionally, can be used to inhibit bodily fluids from flowing, such as blood, lymph fluid, and more.
Available in a variety of types, from padding to compression, and sizes, you will be able to find the right bandage for your specific needs.

Gauze

he gauze dressings can be medicated or impregnated with antiseptic or made for wound debridement -- specifically in cases where the wound is large and the incidence of necrotic tissue may be present. The two general categories of gauze are made from woven and non-woven materials. Woven Gauze: typically means that the gauze contains layers of woven cotton layered together into multiple-ply sheets.
Non-Woven Gauze: Non-woven gauze is usually synthetic material made to look like a woven dressing yet maintain the same aeration ability.

Cotton swabs are used to absorb liquids in wound care. They are always soft and gentle to the skin.
